According to Canadian researchers, breathing in second hand smoke may be as harmful to a woman's fertility as if she smokes herself. Scientists at McMaster University and the Centre for Reproductive Care in Hamilton,quit smoking, Ontario have found that women who are exposed to second hand smoke, also known as sidestream smoke on a regular basis have more trouble getting pregnant with in-vitro fertilization.
