Hard to believe SIX YEARS QUIT...

But here I am....and it truly feels like I never smoked in the first place. (where did the time go??!!!)I just wanted to come on by and say YES, quitting is so entirely doable, and then becomes the unimaginable...health, happiness and freedom. There was the day when I never would have thought that possible. So many people here to thank for all of the wonderful support that was given to me many of whom I met and had a great time with in person!...DZ-an amazing woman full of spunk and FIRE, I loved and admired her so much-that lovely lady NEVER gave up on me and became a wonderful, dear friend, I owe a large piece of this quit to her; Bill--wise,smoking cessation, fun-funny "get your act together katie"-bill lmao love ya mon, KL (Karenlou) my closest dear friend and pal who I get to see often--thank you dearest for always being there and making me laugh 'til my sides ache; JQ--what a lady (who could talk the leg off an elephant *smile* so you can only imagine how many she CONVINCED could quit, and so they DID--lovely-wise lady and also my dear friend; Garyjs--gary a kinder,quit smoking now, gentler, fun soul you will not ever meet, Kimds my friend and WHAT SPUNK and energy that lady has and who with her wonderful husband Dave, hosted a LARGE QSB reunion at her home-spectacular couple and what fun it was, Wendy & Sharon--my quit-buds two lovely fun ladies--Wendy could talk the OTHER leg off of that elephant with humor and soul and Sharron had me laughing my @ss off on a regular basis (I still think of the department store scenario, with the funnel cups over my chest darting through the aisles humming the "Mission Impossible" tune--I imagine you had to be there and I wish I would have kept that one), Groovychick--spinning the music, that girl is something, Roger--always saying a word to bring someone up...sigh (WHAT a bold, brassy sometimes crass-rowdy group we were too) to name just a very few--all those years ago....and then along came Steph--(NOW the poor elephant's trunk is missing) sooooo so smart fun and funny & Dino--d@mn that girl knows when to insert that quip that cracks a person up (plus she likes the Family guy--what can I SAY!). I had the COMPLETE PLEASURE of meeting and spending some time with both of these wonderful, lovely ladies and their families last summer in the dells, along with the equally lovely KL...RJ--this man reads a novel/book a week--and tremendous support, and later-- Skip--whose eloquence rivals NO ONE, (not even him) hahaha love that--and the Doc who mentioned my loquaciousness often enough, there might just be something to it, I suppose *smile* ...and on and on--missing some lovely, lovely folks, surely....and more recently ALL OF YOU a bit newer in the quit, but ALIVE, FULL OF ZEST and inspiration, who keep this place alive and kicking--helping others as you help yourselves as you meet new folks and create lovely new friendships along the way...THANK YOU for that! This place is special and the support was KEY to not so much my getting a quit, but being able to KEEP THE QUIT...and...KTQ is the single best, most important thing that you have to do TODAY...always keep that in the forefront of your mind--no matter what is thrown your way, smoking will not EVER solve it or make it any better. Do it by adherring to the mantra NOT ONE PUFF and you will be brilliant!
