A Quit Smoking Test

I just wanted to poke my head in and say hello. I don't really post that much any more, but I do come by and read when I get the time.I live in the south and last week hurricane Gustav came through and cause some serious damage in my area and knocked the electricity out for a week. I know most of you don't know, but I lost everything I owned and worked 20 years for in hurricane Katrina. Needless to say, whenever a hurricane comes this way, stop smoking, I get a bit nervous. Now I watch Ike out of the corner of my eye. This past week was a serious challenge to keep my quit. I was not able to sleep for 4 days due to heat. I waited 3 1/2 hours for gasoline, 4 hours for a bag of ice, etc etc. Needless to say my nerves were a bit on edge. I thought about smoking a lot over the past week, but I also thought about what J/Q would ask me. "How bad do you want it?" "Did you think it would be easy?" "You're going to have to step up and give 100%!" Even after this very stressful week, I remain smoke free with the help of a lot of people here. Thank you all. I don't post much, but I am still lurking and still as thankful today for this place as I was when I first discovered it.Keep up the GREAT work you are all doing here to help people like me stay smoke free in tough times.ErickI have been quit for 3 Months, 4 Days, 12 hours, 7 minutes and 10 seconds (96 days). I have saved $512.67 by not smoking 2,412 cigarettes. I have saved 1 Week, 1 Day and 9 hours of my life. My Quit Date: 6/3/2008 7:00 AM
